In 2021 Brian Dunlop Architects completed the alterations and full renovation of Jonah Special School, Slieverue, on behalf of Kilkenny & Carlow Education & Training Board. The existing building was no longer fit for purpose and the internal layout was reworked to suit the bespoke needs of the school and pupils. In addition to new internal finishes and fire safety upgrade works, building energy upgrades were also undertaken which included the application of an external insulation system, the installation of new external windows & doors, works to the existing roof, a new heating system and a complete electrical installation. External play areas, landscaping works and staff carparking were also provided.
